Light Seeker

Between mountain tops of faith
lie gaps I call the valleys
where darkness dims the light
I’ve climbed so far to see
hope lives in the shadows

The wind that held God’s voice
In gustful stirrings, turns to whispers
Silence has the only ears to hear
I wrestle with despair
held captive by my boundaries

It’s all about the choices.

And when the waiting’s done
I ask for help beyond my pride
search intently for the light
seen by seekers everywhere
and listen in the silence

The whisper urges me
to climb afresh and
find the light that fades sorrows
the hope that has no boundaries
or frees me stay behind

It’s all about the choices Jean E. Taddonio
